ups question

Quick ups question. I use ups to debug "C" programs I am writing for my
dissertation.  How do I restart a "C" program in ups after editing source
code and recompiling it from a command prompt? 

Right now I just close ups and then restart it, but it would be quicker to
make a fix in my editor, recompile, and restart in ups without closing
ups.
Don't remember seeing info on that in help.
