Just my two cents: while I have appreciated and benefited much from free
software, I'm a little unsettled by this thread.  If Mark Russell wants
to keep the current licensing the way it is, isn't that his prerogative?
Most of us have continued to use UPS freely and productively.  If you do
want to see UPS moved toward a BSD or GNU or other "open source" license,
simply ask politely -- but please don't insist!
