Unable to step into a function

Hello,

I am using version 3.34 of ups on solaris 2.7 with c++.
When I try to step into a function, I get SIGALARM and the debugger jumps to
a function in my code that handles SIGALARM.
To work around, I have to always set a breakpoint and do a continue as
opposed to step.

Is there any settings that I need to do to avoid this problem ?
