    I would appreciate any ideas on helping ups-3.37 see the debugging 
info. I am running
 (gcc (GCC) 3.2 20020903 (Red Hat Linux 8.0 3.2-7)). The target 
executable is compiled with '-g', the format is 'elf' and I have checked 
with 'nm' that the symbol info is there. I can debug with gdb. The ups 
binary is 3.37 (build date: Wed May 22 18:06:52 BST 2002).
