Support for PPC w/ Yellow Dog Linux

I'm trying to get UPS running (compiled) on Yellow Dog Linux running on a 
PPC (using a relatively recent version of the GNU tool set).  I had no 
problems with Red Hat 7 on an Intel machine.  <I can get more specifics if 
it makes a difference to the answer that I get.>

Before I spend more time than I have ... is there any inherent reason why 
UPS wouldn't compile and work in this environment?  I realize it's not a 
supported one, but I wanted to know how much of a task I have ahead of me...
