can ups be operated from the keyboard?

    hi;

the more i use ups, the more i miss being able to type 's'tep or 'n'ext
and 'u'p and 'd' on the keyboard to run ups.

is this supposed to work? is there other keystrokes? i poked 'round the
code and see lot's of key related things, but they seem to be related to
other important functionality.

if it isnt in there, i'd love to put it in. guidance would be appreciated,
but not required.
